Shree Raam and Ayodhya Raam Mandir

From a message by Paramacharya of SWAHA, H.H. Pt. Hardeo Persad

On Monday 22nd January 2024, Hindus prepared for an exciting occasion as the Ayodhya Shri Ram Mandir was inaugurated. This marked a momentous occasion in the history of Hinduism.  After a 500-year journey, this celebration has brought immense joy, satisfaction and fulfilment to the practitioners of Hinduism worldwide.

SWAHA extends congratulations to the Sri Ram Janma Bhoomi Trust and all who have been involved in this extraordinary movement to ensure the construction of the Mandir at the birthplace of Shree Raam. Hundreds of millions over time will visit and seek the blessings of Shree Raam at this holy place.

All Hindu rituals have deeper philosophical meanings. As we celebrate in Trinidad and Tobago, this is an opportunity for us to reflect on the deeper, philosophical significance of this historic event. Universally, Shree Raam represents spirituality and Ayodhya represents the human body. The return of Shree Raam to Ayodhya, in addition to the consecration of the Shree Raam Lalla Murti in Ayodhya, reminds us all to further awaken spirituality in our lives through devotion to Shree Raam.

SWAHA joined in this worldwide celebration with prayers at our temples and schools. Devotees were invited to light deeyas and perform special worship to Shree Raam on January 22nd and beyond. As we all embark on this spiritual journey, we again extend hearty congratulations to all involved in this magnificent achievement.

Jai Shree Raam!
