I am pleased to introduce SWAHA Publications’ latest booklet, a work of devotion compiled by SWAHA devotee, Varsha Ramharack, entitled “108 Insights of Paramacharya of SWAHA international, H.H. Pt. Hardeo Persad”.

As the introduction to the book simply states: “108 Insights is the work of love of a SWAHA devotee, who seeks to share with the world the spiritual gems of wisdom of the Paramacharya of SWAHA International, H.H. Pt. Hardeo Persad.

The Paramacharya of SWAHA illuminates both our lives and our souls through his countless discourses drawn from the sacred scriptures: the Bhagavad Gita, Shiva Puran and the timeless epics Ramayan and Mahabharat. Guruji has shared not just profound spiritual wisdom, but key messages: seeds of enlightenment, blossoms of love and reminders of the Divine presence in every breath of life.

Guruji’s counsel has consistently addressed the spiritual, moral and human lessons we need most, shaping our understanding and strengthening our character. Each homily, each story and each reflection has been a transformative insight, directing us toward deeper devotion, higher consciousness and purposeful living, and when combined, they lead us along the path to liberation (moksha).

These teachings are not meant to be heard and forgotten; they are to be lived and shared. This compilation of 108 Insights is both a tribute and a responsibility and serves as a timeless source of inspiration and guidance.”

The words of the Guru are like a mantra, and these 108 quotes consist of an entire jap mala of devotion to the wisdom and grace of the Guru. They consist of teachings compiled from various satsangs of the Guru that he has emphasised over the years, which serve as a source of guidance to devotees in search of spiritual advancement.

The first five quotes in the booklet are:

  1. Man lifts himself by himself; man sinks himself by himself.
    2. Knowledge without application is useless.
    3.         Successful beings are loathed by those who possess deficiencies.
    4.         We are living embodiments of Divinity; our objective is to recognise and honour that  truth.
    5.         A person may act as they wish, but not indefinitely. When granted the chance to serve, do so with integrity.

The booklet is available at SWAHA’s Head Office, 19 Chotoo Street, Aranguez, telephone contact: (868) 674-7384. It can be purchased for TT$20.00.
