On Saturday, May 17, 2026, the sanctified halls of the SWAHA Sukh Shanti Bhakti Mandali was alive with music, storytelling and a joyful celebration of heritage. Participants from SWAHA temples, branches, and schools gathered for the annual SWAHA SWADESHI Competition 2026, held under the inspiring theme: “Rooted in Culture, United in Devotion.”
More than a competition, SWADESHI is a heartfelt expression of gratitude to our ancestors, a joyful reaffirmation of the traditions they entrusted to us. Through bhajan singing and storytelling, children, youth and adults demonstrated remarkable talent as well as a profound connection to the spiritual and cultural values that continue to shape the Hindu community.
A Celebration of Faith and Talent
The atmosphere was full of devotion, enthusiasm and pride. Voices rose in melodious bhajans recounting the glories of the Divine, while compelling stories conveyed eternal principles of righteousness, courage and faith. Each performance was a tribute to the dedication of participants, teachers, parents and temple leaders who work continuously to nurture these traditions in the hearts of the next generation.
