SWAHA Presents Swadeshe 2010
You are cordially invited to SWAHA’s Swadeshe Competition 2010. This is an annual inter-temple/school competition in various indigenous art forms to mark Indian Arrival day. The theme this year is Mulaa Smaran, Dhaaraa Poshan, which means reflect on the past, nourish the future.

Date: Sunday, May 2, 2010
Time: 9:00am – 4:00pm
Location: Gyaan Deepak Kirtan Mandali, 21 Chotoo Street, Aranjuez.

The categories are: Story-telling, Choral Speaking (Sanskrit slokas), Dance, Pure classical singing, Instrumental, and Local song. Art & craft pieces will be put on display and judged. Results will be announced immediately at the end of performances in each category. Winners will perform at SWAHA’s All Star Show and Awards Ceremony at the Learning Resource Centre, UWI St Augustine, on May 30, 2010 ( Indian Arrival Day). The event will be broadcast live on the Swaha website.

Performance videos from last year’s All Star Show have been archived on SWAHA’s YouTube Channel and on SWAHA’s Vimeo Channel.
