National Executive
President: Mr.Kelvin Ramkissoon
Mr Kelvin Ramkissoon, a practising lawyer, has held various executive positions at Sukh Shanti Bhakti Mandali and worked alongside the late Pt. Parmanand Persad for the development of that institution. He served as the first Vice-President of SWAHA at its incorporation in 1993. Married and father of two, Shri Kelvinji has accepted his new position as President of SWAHA with renewed commitment and dedication to the organisation and in the service of humanity. He brings a wealth of experience in various fields which will greatly assist in this position.
Vice President: Mr. Rooplal Sooknanan
Mr Rooplal Sooknanan has served in different leadership roles at Sukh Shanti Bhakti Mandali over the last decade, holding the reins of Chairperson for five of those years. A qualified geologist, his training and professional spheres has afforded him the opportunity to gain extensive experience, having been employed in various countries in the Caribbean, the Americas, as well as the Middle East. Married and a father of one, Shri Rooplalji is presently employed at Weatherford Laboratories of Trinidad Ltd. as Geologist/Laboratory Manager.
Secretary: Mr. Arjoon Daniel
Mr Arjoon Daniel has been a member of Gyaan Deepak Kirtan Mandali for the past thirty-six years, where he has held many executive positions. The holder of a Masters’ degree in Human Resource Management, he has held several positions in SWAHA also, among them Assistant Secretary and Vice President. He has also headed various National Committees such as Publications, Educations and Swadeshi. Married and the father of three, Shri Arjoonji, a retiree of the Public Service, presently spends much of his time serving on SWAHA’s National Social Services Committee.
Assistant Secretary: Ms. Lydia Singh
Ms Lydia Singh has occupied the post of Chairperson at Tulsi Manas Mandir over the past two years, and served in other executive capacities as well. A holder of B.Sc. degree in Civil Engineering, Lydiaji is presently employed at Carillion (Caribbean) Ltd. Her advice: ‘I strongly believe in seva, giving back to the community, temple, etc. SWAHA has blessed me abundantly with opportunities to do so and in so doing, helped me to become a better person. There is so much to be done and each person has an important role to play. Do your best and do it from your heart.’

Mr. Ronald Chuckaree
Ronald Chuckaree is a Senior Advisor the Hindu Students’ Council of Trinidad and Tobago, was Chair of the National Hindu Youth Conference YUVA for 2011. A founding member of SWAHA, he has worked for the past 17 years and served as a former Public Relations Officer and currently is a member of the Publications Committee and a monthly columnist for the SWAHA Newsletter. He also served as former Public Relations Officer of the UWI Hindu Society. Professionally Ronald is an International Relations Specialist. Academically, he is the holder of a Bachelors Degree in Management Specialising in Tourism Management, a Post Graduate Diploma in International Relations and Masters Degree in International Relations, specializing in Diplomacy, all from the University of the West Indies. He is currently a final year Student of Law with the University of London. In terms of Diaspora relations, Ronald was a also a Participant in the Pravasi Bharatiya Divas 2007, New Delhi India.
Amrica Seepersad
Amrica is a current Monthly Newsletter Contributor for Swaha International Inc., focusing on outstanding Swaha youths and highlighting founding members of Swaha Int. Inc. She has been involved with Swaha from a very young age, also having participated in Ramleela Celebrations and Sports Days for many years. Amrica has been writing for as long as she can remember and in her to (2) attempts at
Swadeshi Poetry Writing in the Over 18 category (2007 and 2011), she has placed first. Amrica is also the current Chairman of the Youth Arm of the National Council of Indian Culture (NCIC) and has served as Assistant Secretary and Communications Officer for the Hindi Students’ Council of Trinidad and Tobago (HSCTT), thus bringing a wealth of voluntary organisational experience to the Swaha Publications family.
